ur Principal Lll Graduates Of 195511 Allowfiihe to extend to each one of you my sincerest congratulations on your successful completion of four very exciting years at Chaminade. Your Chaminade diploma, the precious document impressed with the seal of your Alma Mater, bears lasting testimony of your sterling agehievemlent. H' We note with deep satisfaction and pleasure the theme of your CRIMSON AND GOLD. In creating the world Cod said, Let there be lightlv In the course of time the light of the spirit was obscured by the darkness of sin. Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, scattered that darkness and restored light to all who would see and believe. He did this through His Incarnation. He became incarnate through Mary, the Mother of Cod. We, thereby, became the children of the light . As you grow older and more mature the meaning and mystery of this central fact in all history, Christis Incarnation, must take on sharper significance for each of you. Let there be lightly, the Light of the Worldv, the children of light, must grow in meaning for you, if you are to grow in the wisdom of the spirit, the wisdom of love, the wisdom that leads to God. The seeds of this wisdom of the spirit, implanted in the soul of each of you during your four years at Chaminade, will mature and fructify in direct proportion to your response to the grace of God. To help you to respond to this grace you always have our Lady. She is your inpiration, your guide. She is the Mother of all Grace. She is the Mother of Christ, the Prince of Light. Keep close to her. She will keep you close to her Divine Son. And some day she will usher you, her loyal Chaminade Man, into the brilliant light of your eternal home. May your enviable achievement of graduation from Chaminade prelude your continuous and sustained growth to rich maturity in wisdom and grace. May that mature wisdom of the spirit lead you straight to your eternal union with Christ and Mary. Very sincerely and devotedly yours, 1 ' ' Principal l 7
