H.S. Although we were shy at first, we soon began participating in the extra- curricular activities of the school. We had many talented members in our class. Our first social event was the Hallowe'en Party. With the help of our advisers, Mrs. Floe Walker and Mr. James King, we made this party a big success. We elected Charles Kadel president, William Brauch- er vice-president, Bonita Shields secretary, Mar- garet Aird and Theodore Foreman treasurers, and Saundra Myers historian. We continued our ascent up the ladder and became sophomores. We elected Charles Kadel president, Paul Rotz vice-president, Saundra Myers secretary, Diane Rider and Jack Diehl treasurers, and Margaret Aird historian. This year we attended the upper classmen Hallowe'en Party, but our most important social event was Color Day. When we finally gave our song and cheer before the whole student body, our hearts nearly burst with pride. As our president re- ceived the banner from our sister class, we felt that we were firmly established on the ladder of success. ln a very short time we took our third step and were iuniors. We elected Paul Rotz presi- dent, Samuel Gillespie vice-president, Diane Rider secretary, Charliene Jones and Donald McClure treasurers, and Nancy Appenzellar his- torian. We sponsored several important social events-the Frolic, the Prom, and Color Day. Charliene Jones was maid of honor to the queen, while Doris Ann Sites and Diane Rider repre- sented our class as attendants. As we reached the fourth and final step of the ladder, we realized we had a great deal to accomplish before we could fulfill our ambitions as seniors. We worked hard on magazine and Christmas card sales and successfully sponsored a number of other activities so that our class might have enough money to go to Washington. We chose Paul Rotz president, Kenneth Washing- er vice-president, Diane Rider secretary, Char- liene Jones and Charles Kadel treasurers, and Delores Garvin historian. We were proud of the record our class had made in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. Although there were only four rungs to the ladder, the space between each is filled with happy memories. Now, perched on the topmost step, we are looking for- ward to Washington and graduation.
