SANDRA SERPAS Sweet, quiet Sandra hides beneath a gentle manner a great deal of ability, A sensitive writer, she has a flair for composition and has been an invaluable aid on the annual staff. ELLIOTT SEYMOUR If you feel like conversing, see Elliott. This alert, bright student is an interesting conversationalist on almost any subject. Planning to be a minister, he is a member of Y. F. C., and of Bible Quiz Team. IULIE SILER Her friendly smile and sweet disposition have won Julie many friends. Essay contestant, she is on the Owl staff, and also belongs to F. H.A. .IUANITA SONIAT Characterized by mirth and fun, Iuanita's lively wit has brightened many classes. Her serious, sincere side is shown by the part she has played as a member of F.H.A. and of Newman. VINCENT SORTINO His quiet manner hides varied interests and talents. Among the former are an appetite for pizza, a weakness for cars of any sort, and a love of the cartoon, Peanuts, A talented cartoonist, himself, he also excels in boxing. LINDA SPERA Linda with the soft brown eyes and slow smile is a member of Newman, Chorus, and F.B.L.A. In her Junior year she won the Gregg Shorthand Certificate of Merit. DeLYLA SPIERS This unusual blonde with brown eyes has just joined us this year, after having spent a year in Germany. She enjoys a variety of activities, but is interested in a career as a nurse. A member of F.H.A., she also belongs to 4-H.

ROMMA ROGERS Homeloving and dependable, who could deny that Romma, with her pleasant manner, quiet intelli- gence, and earnest attitude will attain her heart's desire and make the world a better place to live. KAREN ROUSSEL Here's the girl with the sunshine personality, always cheerful and alive. Her warm brown eyes and lovely dark hair invite a further acquaintance. It is not in vain. There is more that does not meet the eye. Twice homeroom officer, she is a member of Chorus and Newman. DENNIS SANS Quiet, unassuming Dennis is yet one who commands attention. A good student and athlete, Dennis has, without talking about it, that which puts him in the top bracket of track. HENRY SAUCIER Here's a jolly good fellow who managed to keep the whole football team in good spirits. Optimistic, aggressive, good-humored, fair-natured, Henry has many facets. He enjoys grammar, track, Newman, 4-H, Dramatics, 1.A. , and Key Club, BRENDA SAUNDERS Lover of softball and other outdoor sports, Brenda has also a flair for homemaking. As a Freshman she was class secretary and is this year treasurer of Letter- CUSS. CAROLYN SAVELL Dignity and dependability are Caro1yn's attributes. Her gentle manner and pleasant smile go with her always. She can be counted on to give a quiet, creditable performance in all she attempts. GAINELL SCHMIDT Sensitive and imaginative, Gainell has a love of the poetry in life. Charming in her role as Little Colonel, she has also participated in Dramatic Club, F.H.A., Annual and Owl Staffs, and F.B.L.A. DORIS SCHNEIDER Though Texas born, Doris came to us from Canada. LEONHARD SPOHRER His quiet manner and studious habits cover exciting Flights of fancy on rocket trips, for this scientific pursuit is Leonhard's hobby. He speaks little but thinks much, and does that thinking well. ROSE TARANTO Rose is all business when it comes to work, but all fun when it's time for fun. A member of Student Council, Owl Staff, Newman Club, and V.P. of F.H.A., she has lent her services willingly and well. RAYMOND TERMINIE No avid sports fan can beat Raymond's attendance at all school athletic events. No game would be complete without him. A happy, well-mannered boy, he has a keen sense of humor, and makes and keeps many friends. JERRY THOMPSON Dependability typifies Jerry who has participated in Civics Club, Y. F. C. , and as a Photographer on Annual Staff, A familiar sight at school events in '58 was Jerry, camera loaded and ready. This photography devotee also develops his own pictures. CATHERINE TROSCLAIR How does she do it? Career woman, good student, and oratorical contestant all rolled into one? Cathy, your speech serves as an outlet for wonderful thoughts and should take you far. JOSEPH TUFARO I-le's a good Joe and a good friend. A member of F.B. L.A. , and of band for four years, he has also been manager and scorekeeper of baseball and has kept score for basketball for two years. LOUIS VERRET Outstanding athlete, exceptional scholar, good citizen, he excels in many fields. V.P. of Student Council, Most Intelligent for two years, member of All District in basketball and football, modest, loyal--this is Mr. Chalmette of 1960, every boy's ideal. WILLIAM VERRET Fair play, loyalty, and endurance are shown in everything he does: football, band, track, and studies. His will to win drives him to do a little better each time.
