BETTY DELANEY This stately red-head is a pleasant, good-humored person with many friends. A serious student, she also is a soprano in the Chorus. She is a member of the Newman Club, F.H.A., and F.B.L.A. RONALD FAHRENBACHER Artist and musician, Ronnie is well liked for his extremely good humor. A valued member of the school band, he also swings a wicked sax in the dance ensemble. This clean-cut, polite young man has much ambition. HOLT FASTRING Here com es Holt with his quick wit and exacting nature. Though active in J.A. and other clubs, his outstanding achievements include the Chemistry Award and attendance at the National Scientific Training Program. Proof of his title of Most Intelli- gent is his taking first place in Trig at the Rally. STEPHEN FATZER Though a person of few words, Steve is a man of many parts. He has played on the football team, been Vice-President ofY.F.C. , and is an artist on Annual Staff. His talent should bring him success in comercial art. LYDIA FAYARD Lydia's dependability is paralleled only by her bubbling enthusiasm. She is pleasant to talk to and pretty to look at. As a majorette, she has shown the spirit and vigor to spark any team. MERRILYN FAZZIO Her very name characterizes her happy, warm, sincere nature, Studious and intelligent, she does not speak incessantly, yet neither is she taciturn. Silence often speaks volumes and has more music than song. JAMES FUSSELL Though this is Barney's first year here, his ever- present smile and gentlemanly disposition have made him any friends. His attitude has brought him popularity and good grades. We're glad he joined us. IRIS GALYEAN Quiet, smiling, and understanding Iris has made many lasting friendships throughout her years at Chalmette. Her ability as a pianist will be remembered with appreciation by the chorus.

JOY COUTURE Here we see a petite, blue-eyed blonde, quietly capable. Like her name she is pleasant to be with, and though she is small, she has not been overlooked in popularity. STEPHEN COWEN Well loved by students and faculty, Larry has achieved much. A State Rally and Pel State representative, cheerleader, letterman, three years class president, president of Student Council, he has won titles of Most School Spirited, Most Popular, and Most Likely To Succeed. JULES CROVETTO Though Juste's affability and integrity have made him a host of friends of both sexes, this romantic Casanova has a positive genius for making a hit with the ladies. A member of Newman, he is also a talented trumpet player in the band. CARMEN CRUZ Take a smiling, generous disposition and a bit of curiosity, add flashing eyes, dark hair, a pinch of sarcasm and a dash of pep. Mix well. Place in a Chalmette atmosphere. Presto! An unforgettable person, our cheerleader, Carmen. IRIS DAVIDSON Charm ing and pretty, lris is an interesting conver- sationalist and expert in typing and shorthand, having been chosen to represent us at the State Rally. A member of the Owl Staff, she is a conscientious worker. DOLLY DAVIS Dolly is well-named, for her china-blue eyes are truly doll-like. Active in Newman and The Little Colonels, she is always ready with a helping hand. She makes friends quickly and keeps them forever. JUDY DEANO Gracious, friendly, and pretty, Judy can add gaiety or a serious note to any gathering, as the occasion demands. Many times a club or class officer, she is also a fine student, often attending literary rallies. Count on her to do any job well. JANET deBRUEYS How refreshing to glimpse Janet's radiant, intelligent face. This popular lass has won awards in Geometry and Algebra and placed second in the latter at the State Rally. She placed first in Nat. Merit Test.

J I mm..i ' fin YW' si, .fa CARMEN GERHARDT Here's a person who doesn't know the meaning of defeat, No matter how difficult the problem, she won't quit until she conquers it. Witty, independent, pleasant, and sincere--that's Carmen, a brave defender of her beliefs. GEORGE GILLIGAN That tall blond is George, an athlete well-liked by all on the campus. A fast member of the basketball team, he made All Riverside in '59, A member of Student Council, Y. F.C. , and C Club, he adds much to school life. RICHARD GIRO Richard's quiet, shy demeanor, often interrupted by witty remarks, has won Chalmette's heart. He is a member of Junior Achievement and sings tenor in our barbership quartet. His high aims denote a person of character. FRANK GOODWIN Frank is well known for his friendliness around school. His good character and talent are equal, as many know. His ability in music, art, and mechanics is outstanding. PATRICIA GORDY Here, a mighty fine lass we see, showing confidence strength, and integrity. Patsy has participated in the Newman Club, Civics Club, F.B. L.A. , Chorus, Pep Squad, Volleyball, and J,A, DIANE GREEN Miss Chalmette, Miss F.B.L.A. and its president, yearbook editor, alternate ldeal Girl, and first place winner at Rally in Home Ec! What more can one say except that she has charm and good looks. WARREN GROOMER Warren is our Thespian. His flair for dramatics insures a good performance in every play. Home- room President for four years, President of Dramatic Club, Newman member, and good student, his ability is indicated. TERRY GRUNSKI The pen is mightier than the sword is true in reference to this cute co-ed's literary skills. With a nice turn of phrase she can whip up a newspaper article in short time. She will go far, armed with a pen and a smile.
