I, Jack Chamberlain, do hereby will my basketball ability to Jerry Lilly and my fast driving to Paul Shomaker. I, Roger Danner, do hereby will my stubborness to Bob Johnson and my Plymouth to anyone who has the money to pay for it. I, Dick Foutch, do hereby will my Mercury to Mrs. Dimich and my ability to get along with all the girls to Larry Davis, I, Dale Headdy, do hereby will my smoking during noon hours to Neil Austin and my short hair cuts to Glen Spradlin. I, Pat Kelly, do hereby will my attraction to Indiana University to Marlene Zarse, and my position as student director of the band to Karen Locks. I, Paul McCormick, do hereby will my laziness to Phyllis Hughes and my journeys to Wolcott to any- one silly enough to go there. I, Norma Patrick, do hereby will all my boy friends to Evelyn Dreblow and being the only senior Home Ec girl to Shirley Spear. I, Laurie Schoonover, do hereby will my brother, Jim, a quarter to keep his mouth shut and my bossiness to Sunny Nesius, I, Jim Schroeder, do hereby will my Plymouth to anyone stupid enough to take it and my height to Jean Zarse. - I, Bob Wann, do hereby will my shorthand ability to Jessie Riddle and the keeping of the shot chart to Jack Kellenburger. I, Alice VanVoorst, do hereby will my membership in Rural Youth to Gale Andrews and my extra wind to any bass instrument player. We are broadcasting tonight from the Chalmers Community Center, where is being held l a reunion of the Class of '55. The sponsor of the class, Mrs. Dimich, is going to inform you of the progress of each member of the class as they arrive. The first person we run into is Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ritchie. It seems as if Jerry has been a successful farmer. This township is now known as Ritchie township for he owns all but two acres. Guess who is Mrs. Ritchie? Robert Wann just drove up in his Jaguar. He is the script writer for the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis shows. The former Patti Kelly is here with her husband. They are the head of a flourishing business in Chicago. Patti's training at I. U. has brought her much success. Dale Headdy just flew in from Washington, D. C. He is happy in his job as chief carpenter at the White l-louse. He considered driving his old red Model T, but realized it needed 'a vacation also. Handsome Danton Altman still has all the girls chasing after him. It seems that with that large farm of his in Tippecanoe County he will have to break down and marry one before long. Mrs. John Kelly, the former Norma Patrick, is here with her three children. She and her husband own one of the largest restaurant chains in America. Norma has received copyrights on her famous recipes. Roger Danner, the famous motorcycle racer, sped in from Chicago. He has a few more scares to add to his collection that started back in '54. Dick Foutch owner of the Stick-a-Me Cactus Ranch' in Oklahoma is passing out S100 bills to his friends as a token of his success. Shortridge High School in Indianapolis found it had made a great improvement in its faculty the day it hired Miss Jane Raub. She says, No more Hoosier slang. Coach Jackie Chamberlain is returning from a successful season as coach of the Redheads. Jack always said he wanted to be a coach but we never dreamed he would be this famous. Here comes another class member who has gone into the field of sports. Paul McCormick has taken the place of Goose Tatum of the Globe-Trotters. Laurice Lee Schoonover, has replaced Mary Hartline on Super Circus. Her baton twirling has brought her much fame and many beaus. In walks the only girl that stayed in Chalmers, Alice Van Voorst. She is teaching third grade at the school. Her husband is the principal. She met him while in college and brought him back to Chalmers. Jim Schroeder, owner of the world-famous Huckster Service , just drove in with the refreshments. He has donated them for the reunion, so we must sign off and eat.

CLASS HISTORY On September 3, I943, Mrs. Shigley found herself standing in front of nineteen eager faces. Among those present were: Dale Headdy, Patricia Kelly, Paul McCormick, Jane Raub, James Schroeder, Laurice Schoonove and Alice Van Voorst. It was during their first year of schooling in which they gained Jack Stine and Roger Danner. One of the funniest experiences which one of the members had was when Jim Schroeder sat by the radiator minus his trousers. It seemed as though that he couldn't quite keep himself balanced on the merry- go-round. Consequently, Jim landed in a mud puddle. During the second grade, all of the pupils seemed to think that maybe they would learn a little bit before they were finished with their education. Patti Kelly spilled ink all over her brand new dress one day, which made the other girls feel about as bad as Patti. They all admired her dress as being one of the prettiest that anyone of them had seen. A blessed event happened during the third grade. It was this year that they gained the honorable Robert Wann. Patti had a bit of trouble on her hands this year too. Not really on her hands, but on her tongue. One recess, while playing outside on a winterday, she had the misfortune of getting her tongue stuck fast to the maypole. Quite a catastrophe! Fury broke loose during the fourth grade. Women fighters became common. To head the list of noted fighters was Laurie Schoonover. She could tackle Jack Stine with much enthusiasm, but end up with defeat most generally. Miss Barr showed her superiority while they were in the fifth grade. One might have found the ornery ones writing page after page on the subject of I will not talk anymore . It didn't seem to do much good, but it was good practice for their writing ability. Not only was the class blessed with women fighters, it was also biters. Alice Van Voorst captured all of the prizes with her biting ability. She bit Laurie one day when Laurie saved two swings for Jane and herself. Being upstairs in the Jr. High added superiority to the class. Alice and Jane found it both very educational and entertaining when they stood in front of English class and sang a duet for Miss Thomas. The tune still seems clear in their minds. Their rendition of Little Ducky Dudd1e made a hit that year. Sooner or later, Dan Cupid was bound to catch up with the class. During the eighth grade year, he found Jane Raub proposing to Jim Schroeder. To start off their high school days, the following pupils made up the roll: Roger Danner, Pat Kelly, Paul McCormick, Jane Raub, Laurie Schoonover, Jim Schroeder, Jack Stine, Alice Van Voorst, and Bob Wann, Entering from West Point township were: Dan Altman, Jack Chamberlain, Pat Chamberlain, Richard Foutch, Gene Hartke, Joyce Hartke, Norma Patrick and Doyle Spear. Also during the freshman year, they gained Kenneth Ritchie. The most embarrassing moment occurred at a class party when Mr. Jacoby, their sponsor, caught Laurie and Gene kissing during a game of Winkum , the class's favorite game. We lost Pat Chamberlain who moved to Wolcott. During their sophomore year, the members of the class took their turn at giving Mr. Wright a ride of spills and thrills during their Driver Training classes. Gene and Joyce Hartke left our class and enrolled at Wolcott. They were very thrilled to have their boys bring honors to the class by winning the class tourney by first winning over the freshmen and then by beating the seniors. Again, the class took their turns at writing. This time, they took with much delight the pleasure of revising Mr, Webster's masterpiece of Mr. Nelson. Their prom was held at the Purdue Memorial Union Building at Lafayette on April 25, 1954. They elected Shirley Sanbloom and Charles Bossung as their queen and king of the dance. They lost Doyle Spear who became Mrs. Ivan Logan. The seniors returned for their final whirl in September. They were: Dan Altman, Jack Chamberlain, Roger Danner, Dick Foutch, Dale Headdy, Pat Kelly, Paul McCormick, Norma Patrick, lane Raub, Jerry Ritchie, Laurie Schoonover, Jim Schroeder, Alice Van Voorst, and Bob Wann, We lost Jack Stine who moved to Brookston.
