WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF Nancy Dunker didn't have a diamond? Madge wasn't Ready? Mr. Chitty was extravagant with his money? Windy Spear had only one boy friend? Norman Sterner didn't like the girls? Dick was a fox instead of A Wolf? Lester Logan drove slowly and carefully? John Flora got to school on time? Joyce Meyers wasn't interested in men? Nancy Zootman worked at Walgreens instead of the Rexall? Mr. Wright Wasnit married? Darlene Schroeder knew the definition of love? Kenny was a candlemaker instead of a Shomaker? We didn't have the library steps? Max Flynn Wasn't bashful? Pat Was a Whistle instead of a Bell? We didn't see Marlene Wagner and David Whitaker walking down the hall together? Johnny Toumine drove a Cadillac convertible? Don McCormick had a steady girl? Jewett Briscoe was the serious type? Albert Garing wasn't always causing heartaches? Virgil Van Voorst ignored the girls? Evan Patrick was always flirting? Necessary Equipment Sergeant: Why is it important not to loose your head in an attack ? Recruit: Because that would leave no place to put the helmet. Logical Reasoning A teacher in a rural school was in- structing her class in the use of anto- nyms. Now, children, she said, What is the opposite of sorrow ? Joy, shrieked the class in unison. What is the opposite of pleasure? Pain. And what is the opposite of woe ? Giddap.

WI-I0 AM I? WHAT AM I? We hope in the future that we may keep the following lines as a guide to achieve our goals. I am the creator of all prospe-rityg I am the fountain from which all material blessings flow. Everything that is of value comes from me. I and I alone am the creator of all the worldfs wealth. I am the salt that gives life its savory flavor. Other than spiritual I am the king of kings, for Without me their kingdoms would totter and decay. I am the sole support of the poor, and the rich who think they can do without me live empty lives and fill early graves. I am the most valuable friend of every worthy youth. If he makes my acquaintance when he is young and keeps me by his side throughout life, I can do more than all other things in the world, for my shadow is the law of compensation. I keep bodies lean and fit, minds alert, and when I am neglected, both bodies and minds become sluggish. I am the guardian of virtue and the means through which genius achieves greatness. Without me there is no freedom, protection, nor independence for old age. All the great masterpieces of art could not be Without me. I am the beginning and a part of all the things created by man. Without me civilization could not be, and the means of travel would be as in the days of Adam and Eve. There would be no light other than the light of the sun by day and the light in the skies at night. Man and beast of the field and forest without me would be closer akin. Fools avoid me, wise men love me. The man who ke-eps his hand in mine, throughout his life, never dies-because that which he has created with my help, lives on after he is gone. They who shirk me and scorn my aid never really live. They merely exist as does the indolent parasite. The abundant life, a theory that despised me, is the dream of an empty head. Who am I? What am I? I AM WORK! School Days Michael had taken a rather strong dis- like to kindergarten. All persuasion failed, and his mother in desperation told him firmly that he would have to go. All right, Mother, retorted Michael. If you want me to grow up into a bead- stringer, I'll go. That Personal Touch Won't you give a shilling to the Lord asked the Salvation Army lassie. How auld are ye ? inquired the Scots- man. Nineteen, sir. Ah well, I'm past seventy-five. I'll be seein' Him afore ye, so I'll hand it to Him myself.
