Top Right: Senior Homecoming attendant Amy Brooks and her escort Ken Juergens smile for the camera while riding in Mr. Hridel’s ‘59 Vette. This year the student body, par- ticularly Student Council, set tradi- tion instead of merely following it. Thursday night, Student Council organized a parade and pep rally which was followed by the bonfire and a social in the commons. The band, cheerleaders and fall sports teams walked up the hill to the high school from the old post of- fice, while the queen candidates, the attendants and their escorts rode in convertibles. The fall sports captains were introduced at the pep rally in addition to inspirational speeches by Larry Ar- nold and Bill Pieramici. We did have a bonfire, as a result of the students cooperating with the ad- ministration to alleviate the prob- lems. The gathering in the commons, sponsored by Math Club, topped off the successful evening.
