SPIRIT The year got off to a good start with a dance on September 11. Stu- dents came dressed in clothes depicting their favorite era. The most popular fashions were punk and those from the 1950’s and 1920’s. The dance was promoted by Student Council and evoked a lot of school spirit. Those dressed in togas twisted to the beat of Sean Kay and his band. Meanwhile, poodle, skirts and bobby socks jivved to the rock ’n roll provided by Dave Pearce and his band of Merry Men. Punks punked out to the unconventional sounds of Sacred and the Nerf Peo- ple. Everyone seemed to enjoy himself thoroughly. Halloween also pro- vided an opportunity for showing school spirit. Students came to class In costumes ranging from punks to mouseketeers. And. of course, there were action-packed football games to generate a lot of excitement as did the soccer team’s preparation for district tournament. All in all, school spirit really abounded at C.F.H.S. this year.
