Foreword 1 1 Wlien the Great Recorder comes To write against your name, He writes not that you won or lost But how you played the game. LTHOUGH there are many similarities in senior classes, each class has certain overtones that are particularly its own. The class of '48 is noteworthy for its athletic powers and its abil- ity to hnish successfully or creditably any endeavor it has under- taken. As a group you play to win and that is as it should be, After you have finished your formal schooling, you should always attack everything with the idea of winning-but winning fairly. In all that you do play your heart out and leave no stone unturned to succeed in all the phases of your life, and then- but only then-can you feel that regardless of the outcome of your efforts you really played the game. In the final analysis you win or lose within yourself regard- less of the world's opiniong therefore build a strong inner self that will carry you serenely on through the buffetings of life. The business of living is a game-if you play it gayly and gallantly you will always win. , The administration and the faculty extend their heartfelt wishes for a contented and happy life and congratulate you upon the successful completion of your Chagrin Falls high school career. Senior Advisor Elsa Jane Carroll
