Band Robert Iones, director of the Chaffey High School Band, has good reason to be proud of the Band's accomplishments. lt seems that besides putting on outstanding concerts, the group usually Wins high ratings at the district and regional music festivals. During the year the Band can also be seen performing at sports events at school, such as football and basketball games. Rallies, too, are an important part in a band member's life. Every year officers are elected, and this year the following people were chosen: Presi- dent, Dave Morketter: Vice-President, Don Hughes: Secretary-Treasurer, Sandy Tallman: Advertising Manager, Don Yochem. OFCA Q5 tl CL The Chaffey High School Orchestra is known as one of the finest in Southern California. Directed by Iohn Feeney, these outstanding musicians have appeared in various concerts, plays, and extravaganzas. Many com- pliments are showered on the orchestra after every performance. Several of the personnel are selected annually to represent Chaffey in the All-Cali- fornia High School Symphony Grchestra. This is a great honor, and one of which our school can be very proud. This year's orchestra is no exception to those of past years, as it is recognized as one of the most outstanding musical organizations Chaffey has ever had. Row I: Lee Anne Ford. The speech students journeyed to many events. Included among these was the Student Congress at Pacific and a tourney at Redlands. Chaffey played host to the CBL schools in the Speech Festival in March, and won the CBL cup. The squad has also been active in many school events and local activities, such as Mask and Gavel, Prodrasnik, American Legion and Lion's Club.
