Alexander McLeish Burton Wiley One of the busiest and most interest- ing jobs at Chaffey is that of the guid- ance counselors. Not only do the coun- selors suggest courses which would be practical and beneficial to a student's particular needs, but they also give aptitude, l.Q., and vocational tests. Seniors find the guidance office par- ticularly helpful when planning careers or choosing a college. Guidance Group The attendance office, located in South Hall, is remarkably efficient in recording the attendance of the 2800 students at Chaffey-Ontario. Besides re- adrnitting students and printing a list of absent students each day, the atten- dance office issues work permits, com- piles official state reports on atten- dance, and checks on the reasons for student absences. Individuals are the result of the decisions they have made along the course oi their lives. Many of these decisions have been small ones, but in the aggregate they have fashioned personalities. Parents, friends, teachers, and counselors can advise, counsel, coax, and threaten, you can blame others tor your mistakes and tail- ures, but you as an individual must assume the responsibility tor the choices you make and course of action you must follow.
