STUDENT COUNCIL SERVES STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY At the beginning of the 1982-83 school year the Student Council realized the importance of serving other students and the community. With this in mind it planned activities. Perhaps the most significant and far reaching event was the Blood Drive, which the Council sponsored in cooperation with the Red Cross. As for serving the students, the Student Council sponsored its annual Sweetheart Dance. Each club and organization was represented in a coronation. Debbie Dannenmueller and Tim Crowe who represented FHA HERO, were crowned King and Queen. Along with serving the students and community, the council also felt the need to become “more visible within the student body. To make this possible, it purchased buttons, which members displayed on their letter jackets. With the efforts of the 1982-83 council the groundwork was laid for many future years of productivity.
