The Devils completed their regular season with a 7 - 2 record. The loss to Caruthersville dampened the Devils’ spirits but luck was on our side and our goal was met. The Devils tromped Ash Grove in the first round of State Play 51 - 3. Our Dream of a state championship was shattered with a 40 - 14 loss to the eventual state champion Cass-Midway. The accomplishments of this team, being the first in the school history to make the state playoffs, should set a goal for which future teams should strive.
