Seniors President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Reporter--------- Sergeant-at-Arms SENIOR OFFICERS Helen Thornton DeWayne Pfefferkorn Betty Castleman Donald Hurt Bobbie Smith Ronald Hooker Senior Class The senior class, with its thirty-one members, began their last year under the leadership of Mrs. Hopkins and Mr. Kimbro. The colors chosen by the class were maroon and silver, the class flower, the white rose, and our motto. Tonight We Launch, Where Shall We Anchor? At the Sikeston Cotton Carnival we were represented by Bobbie Smith. We were happy to see Betty Castleman crowned Halloween queen by Fred Lindy. After our last football game, Evelyn Sue Souders was crowned football queen with DeWayne Pfefferkorn and Norman Pobst as escorts. Valentine queen candidate, Imogene Westrich, was also elected and crowned by her escort, Ray Schwach. Helen Thornton was elected queen and Ronald Hooker king of the Mogul by the whole student body. The minds of the senior class have been centered on various activities in order to make money to sponsor our trip to the South. We sold Christmas cards, pencils, candy, cokes, house numbers, and hot dogs for this purpose. Dances were also given after football games. One of the prettiest and most enjoyable occasions was our Valentine Dance on February 14. We had a large crowd and a good orchestra. Everyone worked hard to make the evening a success. In April the seniors gave a 3-act play which was enjoyed by the cast and audience too. We closed our last days of Chaffee High with Baccalaureate services on May eleventh and Commencement exercises on May fifteenth to climax our four enjoyable years at Chaffee High School.
