Smiiurs OFFICERS President Tommy Heeb Vice-President Johny Heeb Secretary Peggy Shell Treasurer Betty Davenport Reporter------------------------------------------Geraldine Holt The senior class with 31 members, began their last year under the leader- ship of Mrs. Hopkins and Mr. Goddard. The class colors are old rose and silver. The minds of the class have been on various activities planned to finance a trip to New Orleans. Christmas cards, pencils, candy, cokes, and stationery were sold. We also had dances after several football games, a square dance, and a three act play for this purpose. The first class activity of the year was a Christmas party and exchanging of gifts, at which everyone had an enjoyable time. The queen candidates from our class were: Shirley Lee and escort Tommy Heeb, Halloween; Lucille Hughes and escort Tilmon Blocker, F. H. A.; Eetty Davenport and escort Russell Obermann, Valentine; and Mogul Queen, Peggy Shell. We closed our last year of high school with Baccalaureate on May 13, class night May 15, Commencement on May 17, and our trip to New Orleans May 18 to 25. We were sorry to leave dear old Chaffee High. Best wishes in the future to all our teachers and underclassmen. We hope you enjoy high school as much as we have. — 16 —
