Seniors of 19511 The 38 members of the senior class have reached their goal in school. We have tread the hall of Chaffee High School since 1943, when we were seventh graders. Our class colors are gray and scarlet, our flower is a scar- let carnation, and our motto is The stars are too low to be set as our goal. We have had several queens from our class. They are: Oran Homecoming, Sue Redfern; Mogul, Maxine Finch; Daisy Mae of F. H. A., Betty Camp; Football Queen, Phyllis Gnann, and Valentine, Winifred Summers. We have worked this year for money for a trip down south. Football and basketball pencils, stationery, and Christmas cards were sold. We had refreshment stands at the basketball and foot- ball games. We gave a dance at the opening football game and one at the last game in honor of the team. In December we gave two one act plays, Eh! and Sis O' The Ozarks. We sponsored the Dramatic Club play, Dear Papa, in February. A .moving picture show was given in March, and a three act play ip April. » 'i We hope the seniors of the future will have as much fun in school as we have had. — 21 —
