Devils Tales ffvlf The senlor class, with forty four members, began their last year under the leadership of Mrs Ozee The class chose blue and whlte as their colors, their flower, the white rose their motto Nothing without dlvlne guidance They were represented at the Cot ton Carnival at Slkeston by Frances Mitchell june Scott was chosen as Halloween queen of Chaffee High School The minds of the class have been centered on various actlvltles planned to finance an educational tour Christmas cards pencils, ples, candy sandwiches, and cokes were sold for thls purpose Dances followed the football games with Haytl and East Pralrle After the East Pralrle game, Carolyn Bur nett was crowned football queen On December 15 they presented two one act plays, Shock of Hls Life and Comln Round the Moun tam On March 19 they presented The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come whlch vias a huge success A Christmas party Hobo Day at the Gf0SShC1d6F farm a Tom Brene man program and the junior-senior banquet were enjoyable activities of the year. They closed the year with bacca- laureate services on May 10' class night May 12g and May 16 climaxed the four years of high school with graduation.
