SOPHOMORE CLASS A class of fifty-four happy Sophomores brightened Chaffee High this year. The class had Miss Scott and Mr. Sanders as their sponsors. Initiation of the Freshman Class in September was enjoyed very much since it was a mild form of revenge for their own initiation last' year. Class officers elected were: President, Allen Craven; vice- president, Robert Hanna; Secretary and treasurer, Janice Thorn- ton; and Reporter, Mavis Carter. Queen candidates during the year were: Cotton Carnival, Janice Thornton; Halloween, June Scott; and Valentine, Marie Feldon. A number of skating parties, a party given the class by the Freshmen, and a Christmas party lessened the monotony of school life for this lively class of Sophomores. — 22 —
