versity track d This year's Varsity Track team ex- perienced severe difficulties in trying to fill all of the events. Their main strength lie in their middle and long- distance runners. Middle distance runners were coached by Tony Ger- bino and Doug Biedenwig, while Torn Maier took care of the sprinters and other events. this year's team. They took the place of eight graduates. After gaining ex- perience, this fairly new team would make a strong showing in CIF. The Dolphins were looking forward to CIF competitions and possible re- cord-breaking performances by their top runners in the 440, 880, and mile events.
