We became the fresh- men of 1957, and we were thirty-two members strong. Later in the year Howard Helms and Robert Douglas joined us. We elected the following officers to lead us through our freshman year: president, LeRoy Stoner, vice-president, Lynn Krempel, secretary, Susan Hartman, treasurer, Mick Adolph, reporter, Sandra Unzickerg and Student Council representative, Alice Geisz. Our advisor was Mr. Stengel, After hearing what a terrible ordeal initiation is, we had a grand time and enjoyed our initiation day very much. The time went by and we soon found ourselves sophomores. We started this year with twenty-nine members. LeRoy Stoner, Carol Gaar, Carol Lego, Patricia Paschel and Doris Cowin had left us. Later in the year Roylee Book and Paul Cowin moved away. However, Roger Beyer joined us from Lanark. This year our of- ficers were: president, Alice Geiszg vice-president, Lynn Krempel, secretary, Kathy Rahng treasurer, Howard Helms, reporter, Susan Hartmang and Student Council representative, Faye Vos. Our advisors were Mr. Stengel and Mr. Monke. This year it was our turn to initiate the freshmen. The rest of the year was spent raising money. Now the time had come for us to become upperclassmen. This year we found we had lost seven of our classmates, we now had only twenty-one members in our class. Ruby Forster, Wanda Claxton, Susan Hartman, Sandra Unzicker, Lynn Krempel, Don Kness and Dennis Loechel had moved away. Our officers this year were: president, Alice Geiszg vice-president, Marvin Knutti, secretary, Kathy Rahn, treasurer, Allen Rahn, reporter, Faye Vos, and Student Council representative, Loren Kahler. Our advisors were Miss Hubbard and Mr. Monke. This year we were very busy. We became official upperclassmen when we began to sport our neu' class rings. We worked hard on our Junior-Senior Prom. In early May, it took place. The theme of the prom was 'Rendezvous of the Stars. The banquet was held at the Rainbow Inn in Dixon. We then returned to the schoolhouse to dance in the decorated gym. Later in the year we gave three one-act plays under the direction of Mr. Eldon Almquist. As the time arrives to start planning our future, we look back with happy memories on the many happy moments we have had here at Chadwick. But we are eagerly look- ing forward to what lays ahead, and '94s Time Goes By we will happily look back upon our years here in Chadwick High School. x L, 1 ....... i. -, Q - '- n1':v ' Ps WT.'rt -: e w'fV'wrmf mf fsrwew-:W :':f:+-ff:- gf... Miss HAZEL SWANSON was recently crowned 'Miss America of 1971 and who should escort her up to claim her title but MICK ADOLPH, her classmate. Among those at her coronation was WALTER BENNETT who is Dean of Men at Harvard University. BAR TON TEMPLE has made headlines around the world because of his newly acquired title Mr. Universe. Barton was quoted as saying, Must have been something I ate. STEVE POTTER has also become quite famous as he is now heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Who should be named champion of the Indianapolis Speedway Race? Why, none other than ROGER BEYER who states that it beats walking. LOREN IQAHLER is finishing his first round in politics as he was appointed Secretary of Treasury. When he was asked for a statement he said, Mom always said I had a green thumb. On a large billboard in downtown Chadwick I saw that the 'Dare Devils are presenting a show with their star attraction DAN NELSON, JR. who is known as The Thriller. Dan 's sidekick is JOHNROSENOW who sells Life Insurance. John reports business as pretty lifeless I was pleasantly surprised when Ifound out we had a couple working together. I under- stand MARVIN KNUTTI has become a truck garden farmer and it seems as ifKATHY RAHN is right in the business raising little spuds. I was told that GARY TURNE Y, the great hunter, has bagged himself quite a dear, fOut of season, too.j HOWARD HELMS has gone into pill 4-H work. He is at present raising 4 little clover leafs! Good Luck, Howard! FA YE VOS has devoted her time to the world of science--why she is either counting ' stars or watchingfor someone to return from space. ALICE GEISZ was awarded the playwright award for her streamlined version of Ol' Mother Goose. I understand that ROBERT DOUGLAS devotes his spare time studying electricity. He said it gives him quite a charge. ALLEN RAHN has gone quite extensively into the dairy business. Allen says that busi- ness heaps moo -ving right along. EQ ALICE SIBLEY is now a nurse for Dr. LARRY KNESS at the Chadwick Community 1 Hospital. A common question Alice asks the patients after they receive a vaccination ts, 'Did you get the point? I noticed the other day that BEVERLY FOR TH is ascending the ladder of success. She . seems to be adding little steps. Keep climbing, Bev. ! L.
