The Chadwick Grade team consisted of 15 boys for this past season, some coming out a little late in the season to make much of a showing in conference play The varsity team experienced very tough competition all through the year as well as being great ly outsized However, our boys proved to be a good competitor in all their games, showing up especially well against Shannon on the home floor The lightweights had a very good season, winning most of their games in conference play, and defeating Mt Carroll, Thomson, and Milledgeville, in tournament play,to win first place in the County These boys deserved to win this trophy and we are all justly proud of the fine trophy they brought home to Chadwick The boys that played on the lightweight championship team are as follows Neal Doden, Kenny Eickert, Jerry Knees, Lyle Weber, John Straub, Ronnie Heffelfinger, Larry Miller, and Ronrie Foy The lightweight cheerleaders were Sharon Stein, Nancy Heffelfinge and Sylvia Stein They were outstandwng in their work this past season and much credit must go to them for their fine work and the loyalty to their team Varsity cheerleaders were Judy lewis, and Nancy qmith two of the County's best Considering everything t1e Chadwick Grades had a very successful season and next year looks even better Bob Traum being the only eighth grader, we will have back for next year all the boys but Bob GRADE SOFlBALL Phe Chadwick Grade Softball team had a very good season this year, winning most of their games in spite of their size This was the first year of softball for ome of the boys and more will be expected next year, in fact they will all be bank except Bob Our opponents can well fear this aggregation another year Players on the team are as follows Gary Handel Ronnie Heffelfinger Kenneth Eickert Larry Miller Chadwick Chadwick Chadwick Chadwick Chadwick Qhannon Thomson Argo Fay Lanark Qhannon Neal Doden John Straub Lyle Weber Billy Hawk Ronald Foy Chadwick Chadwick Chadwick Chadwick Chadwick Games won 7 Game lost Z6 Jerry Kness Leroy Handel Kenneth Hahn Lee Spinka Argo Fay Lanark Mt Carroll Mt Carroll Villedgeville rn L 0 Chadwick 17 Thomson 7 Chadwick 8 Milledgeville 5 O c 2 Y 9 1 7 18 . 13 2 6 , 6 O , 6 . . l8 V 2 15 - 7 . , 4 ' 3 L 9 5 U O , s 5
