CLASS PROPHECY For the last ten years we have truggled and been thrifty, Since we left the class in 1950 Ned Hartman who always was a tease Is now in a factory canning peas Jovce Imel is married and lives on a hill, Her husband, a banker, does her life fill Roger Walker a Democratic leader, Became r1ch, lnventing a Republican beater A roving sailor, Lefty, became, He knows any girl who has a name For now he has published a dictionary Bob Schleuning who was a very good man, Became famous by leading a band Max Sturtevant who played a good basketball game, A roving reporter he became Viletta Pfundstein with all the good grades she caught, Is now teaching children, who need to be taught Joe Montague an agrlcultural lover I'm told, Is making his money on stock he's sold Chuck Aude, a goat farmer turned out to be, Stop in some tlme, and see all his kiddies From the class of 'SO' tis true that we did come, We weren't all smart, and we weren't all dumb Some names are in fame up to the present date But don't get conceited, perhaps it was just fate Esther 11 Homer has made use of his vocabulary, i !

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY September 1946, what a memorable day' The time finally arrived that we had been waiting for, the beginning of our high school career Our first class, was English, I can remember it very well There we sat very timid and shy not knowing what to expect As the tardy bell rang the teacher took attendance she foxmd the following people present Jo Ann Assy, Char es Aude, George Bittner Kenneth Cxmningham, Lawrence Farthing, Willard La Dew, Ronn e Holmes, Ned Hartman, Harold Hartman, Joyce Imel, Robert Schleuning, and Max Sturtevant In November, Kenneth Cunningham moved to Lanark and in February Willard La Dew moved to Thomson Agann, in April we lost a member of our class when Lawrence Farthing dropped when he moved to Chadwick from Sterling At the beginning of our Freshman year we had an enrollment of twelve, but by the end of the year the number had decreased to ten Then, we began our Sophomore year This year proved to be more enjoyable because we were no longer Freshmen W found we had the same classmates as at the end of last year with the exception of George Bittner, who had moved to Hanover during the summer In September, we welcomed a new member to our class, Vilitta Pfundstein from Sterling At the beginning of the new semester, Joe llontague moved here from Morrison Our Sophomore year closed with the enrollment of eleven In our Junior year, Dick Davis moved to llilledgeville, and Roger Walker transferred here from Davenport, at the end of the first semester We had a very successful year We gave a prom and our Junior play, and managed to come out money ahead Then came our last and most important year This year our enrollment changed but once, when Jo Ann Asay dropped out We gave our senior play and eng oyed the prom given in our honor by the Junior class There were ten of us to receive diplomas at our commencement exercises Bob X 10 out. But, Dick Davis helped to make up for these losses O . e

Why eaths his speed on the track to Herb class of and test to leave possess of '50 the years to come to Wanda Lucky Lefty handle so he wills his What was that streak that was Max, he beau Viletta, who lives very complicated life, leaves her ability to hold down two fo rts at once to Carol To Mrs Bushman, Ronnie wills his act ing ability Also his acting up ability Joyce, who we can always count on to do her share of a job, leaves her depend ability to Esther Roger wills his typewriter to any ambit ious underclassman who can put it to better use than he did Joe leaves his pull with Mr Stengel and his interest in ag riculture to Dick Virgil is to receive Ned's casanova qual ities, in hopes that he has as good results as Ned did Last but not least we come to Chuck and he bequeaths has patelnce to Mr Morning And so dear friends and faculty, we have presented you with these tokens to rememb r us by, and being of sound mind on this the 2nd day of June, 1950, do hereby affix our sign ature THE SENIOR CLASS OF '50 SENIOR CLASS NEWS We began our final year at H following officers V Pres k St Council Rep Sec k Tres Class Reporter S by electing the Bob Schleunlng Roger lalker Ronnie Holmes Our Senior Play was the first important event of the year Then came the holiday season and a much needed vac ation The Friday night before Christmas, the Seniors gave the traditional Christmas dance We chose purple and white as our class colors and sel ected the motto the triumphs ' etta was chosen edictorian, and IZ 'The greater the trials, the more glorious Our class flower was the white rose V11 to receive the D A R award, Ned was val Viletta was salutatorian e e - Q SBD e , Q - 8 s . e . . 1 s .
