As we return to the planet, Earth, after an aosence oi neany ten years, we meet the rest of the Senior Class of 1960. Wondering what has become of them, just a handful in the midst of a gulf of human beings in the universe, we set out from the Interplanetary Space Port to find out. Some, no doubt, would be famous while others would be enjoying life in obscurity. When we reached my old-fashioned Cadillac, we drove up to a super-deluxe station equipped for such obsolete models. It was then we noticed the sign: Alyward-Hoffman Filling Station - could this be Jim Alyward and Jim Hoffman? Indeed it was! They told us that those new ultraviolet-ray jets were ruining business. We could see what they meant since we were the only ones traveling on a badly-neglected highway while overhead we could hear the whistle and hum of jets. Continuing down the highway we saw a lone person on what appeared to be a horse. Although we thought they had be- come extinct years ago, we discovered it really was a horse and its rider was none other than Patty Langford who just couldn't catch up with modern times. She and her husband own a spread from Texas to Canada and raise old-fashioned cattle on it. The horse she informed us came from Chuck Roberts and Tom Morris who are taking advantage of the mod- ern era by selling the horses for vast sums to those wanting to get away from it all. Then we saw it! Chadron had really changed since we were last there. Old Prep High is now a museum piece and the 64 story structure taking its place even has parking spaces for jets. In it teaching is Tom Pace and David Waldron who have revolutionized school teaching. Also there is an added feature of no-more-home-work. Sue Brown used to teach here too until she ran off with Jo Ann Cooper to start a Wild West show of their own. The main attractions are Sue roping flying saucers and Jo Ann riding shooting stars. Myron Lembke and Ann Brott flew by to their ranch on which they raise a new type of cattle crossed with bears. They vacation in Florida while the Cowbears are hibernating in the winter. Helen Roberts and Dianne Dalton have settled down in Hollywood now. Both Helen and Dianne are running close com- petition to Marilyn Monroe in a new production entitled, Girl out of this World. Glenn Oak and Dave Blinde are in their dream city, Paris. They are packaging French perfumed snowballs to sell to multi-millionaire's children to disdain the ordinary variety. Loretta Pinsky and Wayne we almost knew would settle down together and we were not surprised to find Wayne working on a new type spaceship while Loretta was running after a dozen small fry. As we stop at the International Jet Factory we find out that Bill Atchison is the owner. What is this we see? Why, it's Julia Hoats, the pilot of a big jet that just flew by. Everybody was accounted for but Ruth Claussen. She always did have our curiosity aroused. We wondered just who she had settled down with. We finally found out that Ruth ran off with a traveling space-man leaving a host of broken-hearted suitors. Well, now we knew there was no object for us to stay any longer because we had to get back. As soon as we refueled our spaceship, we left immediatelv for Venus. I, Jo Ann Cooper, will my ability to sew two right sleeves on one shirt to Karen Harris. I, Myron Lembke, being of strong body and weak mind, will my ability to burn my hand with flash powder to Jim Fitzgibbon. I, Ruth Claussen, being of strong body and weak mind, will my ability to get along with my teachers to Linda Claus- sen. I, Tom Pace, being of sound mind and strong body, do hereby will my ability to play football to Elmer Griffith. I, Patty Langford, being of strong body and weak mind, will my ability to get along with boys to Janet Langford. I, Bill Atchison, being of weak mind and strong body, will my ability to sleep through Modern Problems to Jerry Mathis and my nickname, Baby Huey, to Arvid Rhoads. I. James E. I, Helen Roberts, will my long, strong, slender legs to Irene Pinsky, and my ability to run out of gas at the proper time to Rhonda Atchison. David Blinde, being of weak mind and strong body, will my ability to be late for band every day to Arvid Rhoads. I, Loretta Theresa Pinsky, or Loretta, as dad would say when he is angry at me, being of sound body and mind, will my cheerleading ability and my love for basketball, football, and track to my sister, Irene Pinsky; to Karen Lembke I will my ability to stick to Chemistry class for a whole year. I, Chuck Roberts, being of weak mind and weak body, will my ability to lay off drinking to Jerry Mathis. I, David Waldron, being of weak mind and sound body, will my ability to skip school to work on my car, and not have to make up time to Dave Carrick. I, Sue Brown, being of completely sound mind and strong body do hereby will my ability to be married two days after graduation to Rhonda Atchison, and my ability to slice hamburger buns for Byerley’s to Dean Beebe.
