Claw President Claw Motto: “He who does not progrew falls behind.” Class Colors: Blue and White Class Flower: White Carnation Class Sponsor: Miss Virginia Speich ‘PtofiAeccf, The year is now 1979 and we are taking a trip in a satellite to the moon for a picnic. Our satellite is furnished by the Freed-Pinsky, Inc. Gene and Jane now have a large satellite plant and are earning millions to give to the poor. The meat for our picnic is furnished by the Benthack ranch in Texas. Our pastries are donated to us by the Broberg Bakery in Hollywood, California. We shall meet at the home of Marilynne and Dick Muma in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Oh, we have to fill the satellite up with gas at the Ron Curtis Mobilgas station. I’ll bet you can't guess who our pilot is - the Minneapolis Speedway Champion - Doug Ritterbush. Before we take off, we have to stop at the hotel to pick up our Stewardess, Shirley Boyd. I guess we'll have to find a mechanic. Oh, that won’t be any trouble. Our Stewardess' boyfriend, Don Shafer, is a mechanic. Twenty years and they're still not married I Maybe we should get a cook before we start. I know, take Paul Killscrow. He's the chief cook in the Campus Shop atChadron State. Our last stop is in Tibet to pick up our missionary, Rosalene Smith, who is to Christianize the Communists. Well, we're at last ready to leave Earth. We don't dare exceed the speed limit because we have a patrolman with us - Harlan Hakanson. Oh! Look out! Here comes the Chadron Prep space ship. Oh! Dig this!!! Mr. Tewell is the driver, Miss Speich (and still Miss) is the Stewardess; Mrs. Taylor is the cook, and Mr. Barto is the mechanic. And look at the kids in there! Oh! They're student teachers. Let's motion for them to follow us. Well, here we are at the moon. Everybody out! We've had our picnic. Now for the entertainment. John Helzer is the M.C. He has some new and better jokes now. It's about time! Barbara Redfern is crazy over Mr. Pinsky's - BIG, HUSKY, FOUR-ARMED, SIX-LEGGED, moon monster football team. But it looks like Marilyn Langford has her eye on them, too. She's making eyes at the captain. Oh! Oh! Kenny Cullers, the astronomer, is using his telescope to watch the cheerleaders that Miss Turnell placed in the middle of the field. Gary Drullinger is helping Mr. Conn referee the game. The absent-minded professor. Bill Farrar, while out on a stroll, fell into a crater. Barbara Gusnex jumped in after him with her first aid kit and is patching him up. Come on, everybody. Let's go home. Hey, Mike! Do you think you can leave all those space girls here and come with us? Well, everyone is aboard and we're ready to take off for home. I, Rosalene Smith, will my ability to buy life-savers for Mr. Tewell with borrowed money to Jo Cooper. I, Harlan Hakanson, being of strong body and weak mind, will my ability to go, get along, and make out with girls to Greg Bailiff.
