C lass fProph top nec y Let's take a trip in a rocket ship to look into the year of 1961 to see how the members of the class of '51-----small in quantity but not in quality----may fare in the years after graduation. In the now large town of Whitney, Nebraska we find Bob Armstrong head coach of the Whitney Rockets, last year's Class A champs. Not far down the road we find Carma Hawk manager of the Whitney airbase. She wishes she could fly more but due to her shortness she finds it difficult to reach the controls as in her car back in '51. In Chadron, which has also grown, we see Loralyn Wilson and Delores Bogner owners of a snazzy night club. Delores gives free dancing le sons, while Loralyn takes care of the money and bookwork. Back in the kitchen we find Dick Derrick, as second cook. He had lots of practice back in seven-thirty A.M. Social Living Class and also in the Army. Also making his home in Chadron is J ck Bickford, now chief fireman on the Northwestern Railroad. Margery Doe 11, or should we say Mrs. Logan, got an early start in life, marrying before graduating from school. Margery and family are living in Chadron. Margery quit working at the Frock Shop last year. The two cowboys of the class are Waymann Wild and Les Churchill. Waymann is married and head man at the angora goat ranch at Rocky Fort, Montana. Les found and married a rich rancher's daughter. With their money they purchased land and have built up a beautiful cattle ranch, one of the finest in the sandhills. Dick Reed, who has sold many paintings to the Art Museum of Chicago, has married and settled down in the Ozark Hills to get an inspiration for his future masterpiece. Thelma Pettegrew and her sister are singing on the radio station, XELO, Clint, Texas. Thelma's yodeling hrs made them widely known. They are called the Sunshine Sisters, so tune to XELO, Clint, Texas. Last but not least, by all means, we find Dr. Robert Scott Sllwood, a chemist at the atomic research plant at Oak Ridge Tennessee. He has made many new discoveries for future use. ------The fuel in our rocket ship is beginning to get low, so we must turn back again to the present year. It has been a wonderful experience to see what the future years may have in store for us. Undoubtedly we have used our learnings in Prep to further the government of the United States, to neip prevent wars, and to be impartial. Yes, we wsre small in quantity but not in quality. 9
