DEDICA TIOJS The 1975 Chadron High School Cardinal is dedicated to a member of the faculty, Mrs. Marjorie Neeland. Throughout her fourteen years at CHS, Mrs. Neeland has served the school as the Media Specialist for the library. Mrs. Neeland's opinions and advice have always been greatly respected and for this rea- son her sympathetic ear has lent itself many times to people in need—both teachers and stu- dents. As a firm believer in the importance and worth of today's youth, Mrs. Neeland has al- ways enjoyed working with young people and plans to continue doing so after her retirement. With everything she does, Mrs. Neeland will always make time for people and for this we all thank her. At the end of this school year, Mrs. Neeland retires, but her work is not finished ... it is only beginning. She plans to travel, to continue working with youth, and to have time for her many hobbies and interests. It is for these reasons and for the love and loyalty Mrs. Neeland has shown, that we, the Annual Staff, wish to express our gratitude in this small way. 2 The Staff

THERE WAS A TIME There was a time for ABC's Kaptain Kangaroo and skinned-up knees. The time then came for playground swings, Mickey Mouse and bubblegum rings. Heroes, too, had a time all their own- but that has gone and we have grown. There was a time for teachers' pets jumprope contests, piroettes. Spring had sprung, life begun Our days were happy in the sun. Our years, they grew so slow, it seemed. We had the time to sit and dream. 3
