OFFICE HELP Joy Turns frizz. Office girls help secretary Bev Ostrander with taking attendance, writing admit slips, and general office duties. Mrs. Bev Ostrander, Beckyjohnson, Sandy Westlake, Joy Lembke, Dena Redfern. Not pic- tured: Shelia Bilyeu. FOR. EXCH. STUDENTS ChadronHigh School was fortunate enough to have two foreign exchange students this year-Pedro Banderas from Riobamba, Ecuador, and Vitor Silva from Recife, Brazil. Both stu- dents were able to attend CHS for the entire school year. Both boys are from large cities and so the rural area of Chadron was a new experience. Pedro's city, Rio- bamba is capital of the providence of Chimborazo. Recife, Vitor's home town, is a large coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean. Climate changes also were different, as neither had seen snow as plentiful as we had last winter. During the course of the year, both Vitor and Pedro were able to join in the CHS life and actively partici- pated in organizations and activities. They also spoke about their native countries to many organizations in the Community. Both were students in Spanish classes where they added much to the curriculum. Best wishes, Pedro and Vitor, in the future! Pedro Banderas and Vitor Silva, CHS Foreign Exchange Students. 10
