Nineteen Seventy Three Cardinal Chadron High School Chadron, Nebraska 2 HIGH peojNe 3 CONTENTS seniors.......iz juniors.......26 sophomores....3 activities....39 sports........55 oiganizations... 75 commencement... 93 5 Where are you going from here. Seniors? Untold numbers of studies have been conducted to at- tempt to enable any who might wish to predict the probable success of graduating seniors based on their performance, mainly in school, thus far in life. Follow-up studies have identified definite trends that show a student’s success in ele- mentary and secondary education have a close correlation with the probable success in life's undertakings after leaving high school. These findings show a trend toward that student who was successful in school being successful in later life, whether it be advanced formal education or one’s career. The term “trends” or “majority”, however, mean just that. There are always the ones who perform differently than the trends or majority seem to indicate they should. This means to me that you who are departing Chadron High School this year have established yourselves as ones who will be likely winners, or ones who. perhaps, will not fare so well. You are the master of your destiny. You may be the one who bucks the trend. You may be one of those whose fu- ture looks extremely bright at the moment, but who for un- foreseen reasons do not meet your potential. You may also be the one who again demonstrates the fact that you will succeed in spite of a rather mediocre record thus far. Good luck to all the class of 1973! Elmer W.
