SENIOR HISTORY We began our high school life with 58 members and elected Gary Lonnon, Presi- dent, Sue Gill, Vice-President, Ann Morgan- thaler, Secretary, and Richard Rathje, Treas urer. Ann Morganthaler was our queen can- didate and Janice Vulgamott was elected cheerleader. The sophomores gave us a hay- ride and welcoming party which was enjoyed by all. A skating party held in the spring was well attended. Our sophomore officers were: George Sulwer, President, Richard Rathje, Vice- President, Karen Chapman, Secretary, and Joanne Shinneman, Treasurer. Early in the year, our 55 students' welcomed the reshmen with a party. Later a roller skating party was held for our own members. Again our ueen candidate was Ann Morganthaler. Richard Rathje and Don McClellan were cheerleaders. One of the highlights of the year's activities wasthe winning of first place in the homecoming float contest. As juniors, we had a very busy year. George Sulwer, President, Joanne Shinneman, Vice-President, Karen Chapman, Secretary, and Sharon Ellegood, Treasurer led us through a successful year. Judy Wafflard was our queen candidate and Ann Morganthaler our cheerleader. In November our play, If Mother Only Knew, was a hilarious comedy. Our class managed the concession stand at the football games. We were especially proud when our Junior Homecoming Float won first place. In February, we sponsored the Valentine Dance. Our class rings arrived in December and everyone was quite proud of them. We chose a Gay Nineties theme for our Prom to go along with the Cerro Gordo Centennial. In the fall of 1955, we entered C.G. H. S. for the last time. Ann Morganthaler and Janice Vulgamott were chosen as Cheerleaders and Jody Wafflard reigned as Queen over the Homecoming Activities. The Christmas Dance, bakery sale, hobo day, and our class play, Hillbilly Weddin', were among our many activities during the year. After grad- uation our Senior Class spent their last time together on a wonderful trip to the Ozarks. We hope that the classes to follow have just as many pleasant times and memories as we have had during our four years together.
