JusT beTore vacaTion Norma SeaTon and Jimmie Tyler did ThaT cuTe liTTle song, I WanT You Tor ChrisTmas. And aT ThaT program we all ioined in singing The old ChrisTmas carols, Too. During The year I934-T935 our seniors, who were Then Treshmen, probably sang on Their TirsT daTe, The ObiecT oT My ATTecTions, Clouds, l've GoT a Feelin' You're Foolin', and Rain. The Teachers were probably more inTeresTed in SoliTude and Swamp Fire. Bing Crosby blossomed ouT wiTh Love in Bloom, while Shirley Temple sTarTed The Good Ship Lollipop craze ThaT ended up in being The Tune danced To by The sailor-suiTed Treshmen girls aT The Junior-Senior Banquet l935-I936 was The year ThaT really produced. Fred AsTaire and Ginger Rogers sTarred in Two movies, Top I-laT and Follow The FleeT, ThaT gave ouT Top l-laT, Cheek To Cheek, lsn'T IT a Lovely Day?, Fancy Free, l'm PuTTing All My Eggs in One BaslceT, LeT YourselT Go, LeT's Face The Music and Dance, and We Saw The Sea. Remember-iT was New Year's Eve: we were sTanding in line Tor The midnighT show: some one sTarTed humming ThaT new song, The one ThaT ouT-sung and ouT-sold Yes.
