UARS1TY X-COUNTRY The 1982 Varsity Cross Country team set forth an impressive 5-3 overall record and 3-3 league record. They put forth a tremendous amount of effort and were rewarded by placing third in league finals and advancing to C.I.F. competition for the second year in a row. Robert Diaz and Robert Thiede were chosen MVPs. Enrique Andrade was awarded Most Improved. Special standouts were Robert Diaz and Robert Thiede in All-League. 1. VARSITY X-COUNTRY Var. X-Country Strides for Championship, definitely true. Our Varsity X-Country team sure is something to be proud of. Finishing the season with a league record of 5-1 and overall record of 8-1, Lea MacFarlane, our M.V.P., also the consecutive league champ in which she has been undefeated for 2 yrs., and Trudy Palmer, our most improved player made the all-league team. Also Trayce Lozano was awarded most inspirational player. The coach, Mr. Flores should get a special award for training these girls to become what they are champions.
