Orchesis... Reflections 2 Reflecting back on 1983 one thinks of new traditions. One i the new Orchesis Club on campus. In it's first year, under th direction of Ms. Grasso, the Dance Club consists of girls wh dance, who are learning to dance, or perhaps wish to dance Along with the club was the dance team. The dance team aud tioned for a position and met after school to learn and perfec various choreographed routines. This year was only a first fo the new club on campus. Laurie Watanabe In its 11th year, the Cerritos High INFORMER continued to publish more than twice a month throughout the school year, with help from the ROP graphics division at Tracy H.S. and on the C.H.s. campus, the INFORMER retained the high quality for which it was known. Advisor Mr. Armstrong and editor-in-chief Laurie Watanabe supervised the staff that was headed by four female editors; Cheryl Kumada, front page editor; Cathy Kim, editorial page editor; Michelle Marshall, feature page editor; and Kathy Okamura, sports page editor. Despite a largely inexperienced staff, the newspaper class did and over-all excellent job in reporting the news of the school and community with increased emphasis in national issues and C.H.S.!' hard-working but unappreciated students and faculty.
