They aimed for the stars, and reached them. The Drill Team proudly represented the student body of Cerritos High School by bringing home several awards including Sweepstakes at Norwalk and Western Competitions; and first at Cal Poly and Los Altos Competitions. The brightest star seemed to be competing in the 1983 Hawaii Invitational Competition. This week not only included a rigorous schedule of various competitions, but also a fun filled week of fun and sun. Drill Team members brought home dark tans, memorabilia, and many trophies, including two firsts in show and small military. To top the entire week, Drill Team received Sweepstakes for the entire competition. Drill Team Shining Bright ... for her.
