he Don X-Country team in 1981 was exceptional! Not only were they the best team in the school's history, they were all fine young men. After an undefeated preseason. the Don runners stayed out of the loss column until they faced the league champion Warren Bears, where they lost by a one point margin The Dons finished the season 7-2-1 overall. Next year, the Dons hope to take the championship. Robert Diaz was chosen MVP and Richard Pinarija was Most Improved. The team was lead by their captain. Lorenzo Tyner. 1. Front center... to right wing... to forward... goal!! he 1981-82 Varsity Soccer team under the direction of Coach Flores, finished with an impressive 13-6 overall record and 8 6 league record. The Dons managed to place third in league and advance to C.I.F. competition. Cap tain Enrique Andrade was the team M.V.P. offensive player and was also selected to both All C.I.F. and all league team. With team M.V.P. defense, Claudio Balboa, and Most Inspirational, Javier Andrade, the team did their best. 1. Enrique Andrade getting ready to put all his effort into kicking the ball downfield. 2.
