J. V. TAKES 1st IN LEAGUE he 1981-82 season showed the talent of the J.V. team. With a smashing 161 record they earned the title of SGVL champs! Outstanding performances were turned out by freshman Lisa Souza who served 15 straight points against El Rancho for a 150 victory, Sandy Zetzman and Wendy Overleese (most valuable player), Meg Dearman with her strong hitting, and Kristy and Wendy Thomas (most inspiratonal) who were the best all around players. The freshmen showed great improvement, especially Chris Kaiser (most improved). Next year should be another good year. We'll probably lose some girls to Varsity but with the rest returning we will be hard to beat. 72 Sports J.V. Volleyball

J. V.TENNIS he 1981 J.V. Tennis team ended their season with a record of 3-7. The team was a big improvement from last year. What can you say about the team except that they had a good time. Even though the team started out slow, there was much improvement. Outstanding players were Janelle Barns who was also their M.V.P., and 1 in singles, Lita Jacobs, 2 singles, and Cynthia Azar-con, 3 singles. 1. Lya Soegiharto. 2. Janelle Barns. 3.
