s the Lady Dons finished the 1981 season, they had plenty to be proud of. They finished 3rd in league with a 10-4 record. They also competed in the C.I.F. play offs for the 1st time and finished 4th in the Artesia tournament. This recorded the best season in Cerritos history. The team was coached by Kim Bueltel who was very pleased with the progress made. All league homers went to senior stand-outs Fran Bakkers and Michelle Chee. Girls varsity x-country running towards C. .F. he Girls' Varsity XCountry Team enjoyed one of their most successful seasons. They finished third in league finals and produced league champion. Lea Mac-Farlane. Lea won the 3-mile race in a league record of 18:45. Other standouts were freshman Lisa Trepanier, senior Nancy Guardarama, junior Traycee Lozano, and sophomore Trudy Palmer. The team met many goals and definitely came a long way when compared to the past. 1. Trudy Palmer way ahead of the rest. 2. The Cerritos girls starting ahead of the Gahr girls. 3.
