I Dons finish third league n 1982, the Varsity Don Tracksters once again finished in San Gabriel Valley League Competition losing again to Lynwood and Gahr. The Dons had a very strong team this year. Robert Diaz, the team's most valuable player, was also named an all leaguer. Polevaulter Ken Kilmurray broke the school record. There were also a few injuries that occured during the season causing some major losses to the team such as hurdler Bill Gonzales and 220 runner Gary Willard who both seriously pulled their hamstrings. These injuries affected the team tremendously. Regardless, the team pulled together and took third in league. 1. Gary Durian thanks his teammate for the baton. 2. Keith Levi replies, Thank goodness, there’s the end! 3. Cerritos shot-putter fires it up. up and away. 4. Sydney Johnson thinking. Just a little bit higher. 5. “How embarrassing! FRESHMEN SUFFERED TRYING SEASON he Freshmen Football team had a trying season. Like Varsity and J.V., their league record ended at 0-7. The baby Dons tried hard throughout the season but somehow always came up short. They suffered one of their worst seasons in school history. Although it was a losing one. they gained experience which will contribute to next year's season. Quarterback, Kenny Fuwer, was selected Most Valuable Player. 1.
