n the 1982 school year there were many ups and downs in the area of athletics. We all went through many losses, but there were also many victories we shared with one another. Among those was the Varsity Baseball team who managed to reach and excel to their highest achievements. The team advanced to the CIF Semi-Finals and were rated the 1 team in the Southeast area, while having three players make the all-CIF team. Once again we can say that the girls' Varsity Tennis team had a superb season as well. Debbie Spence showed an excellent performance by winning the 1981 CIF singles championship. A new addition to the sports line up this year was the motocross team. Cerritos has slowly but surely been offering a variety of sports for the entire student body to participate in. Overall, the year in sports was an exciting experience for all. Students broke through with much endurance and dedication in this years sports program. 268 Closing Tv'-.

nding the 198 school year was definitely a sad occasion, but the seniors again broke through with many events that were unmatched from the years before. Senior Day and the Senior Luncheon were among those events. The Senior Luncheon was held the day before graduation and was organized by the PTSA. It was a time for eating dancing, and wondering where those four years went. As the color on this page comes to a close, it signifies that the 1982 school year has come to an end. Setting goals and breaking through them however, will never end — no CHS Don should ever stop BREAKING THROUGH. 270 Closing
