Science Picture Not Available Business dept. teaches important skills he business department, under the direction of chairperson Don Saul, once again came through and offered to students a wide variety of courses in the field of business. Among the many courses that were offered were accounting, typing, data processing, business law, clerical skills, and the many secretarial skills. This year, the business department was also marked with the addition of new teacher Mary Boston. Each year, awards are given out in business to the most deserving seniors. Among them are the Bank of America Award for Business, the California Business-Education-Association Award, and the various typing awards. The business department succeeded in achieving its goal of giving to stgdents the best education possible in helping them prepare for challenging and rewarding careers in the business world. Former student joins social science dept. reaking through with a wide variety of courses was the Social Science Department. Cinder the direction of chairperson Gary Smuts, classes such as basic, general, college prep, and advanced placement social studies, as well as psychology, were taught. Mew additions to the department were Ms. Arfrt Joynt and Ms. Cheryl Grasso, a former Cerritos , High student. The department presented awards such as the Bank of America Award for Social Sciences, Ate Don Donkey Award and the Marvin E. Simpson Memorial Scholarship. 1.
