Skiers take to the slopes f there was ever a year to have a Ski Club, 1982 was it. Snow capped mountains enabled the newly established organizaiton to attend many field trips. They sold See’s Suckers to raise money for their five day Ski trip to Mammoth. They also went to Gtah during Easter vacation with Artesia High School. They once again went to Mammoth during Memorial weekend. The Ski club kept themselves busy throughout the year skiing down the slopes. 1. The ski club chaperones. Mr. Bisogno — advisor. Mr. Vincent, Mr. Weeks, and Mr. LaRosa. 2. Ski Club officers. Michelle Papai — secretary. Debbie Lloyd — vicepresident. Vivian Kim — treasurer. Dena Ramsdell — Michele's official helper, and Michele Martinez — president. 3. The 1981-82 ski club. 4. Surfers go with the waves he Surf club was a newly formed club at CHS whose prupose was to establish competitions against other schools and enable the members to surf to their potential. Their advisor, Mr. Bowlen, along with their president, Chris walker, planned the club’s major fund raiser, a car wash, to use the money for a trip to San Onofre Beach. They did a great deal of surfing as a group which was what they enjoyed best. 1. If I could only learn how to carry a surfboard, then maybe I could try surfing says Mke Fruede. 2. Choir sings a song erritos Choir sang more than just a song; they sang many songs. They participated in the Christmas concert, sold singing Christmas cards and went to the El Segundo Choir Festival. They also put on a Spring Concert in June. The Club officers Stephanie Baker, Ken Bradford, Judy Hammond, Leslie Sutow, and Steve Rodriquez, along with Mr. Bradford, their advisor, worked hard planning one of their fund raisers where they sold cheese for their new uniforms. The club also went on a trip to Disneyland. The CHS Choir was a very active club and was kept busy at these various activities. 1. Choir Girls perform at the Christmas Concert. 2. The Choir Club. 3.
