he International Club had an extremely successful year, starting it out by signing well over a hundred members on Club Day. They began the year with a delicious potluck dinner with over forty international dishes, which was attended by officials from the American Field Services. The day followed with a messy egg-toss, and then a volleyball tournament. The club sponsored a car wash and sold We're 1 mittens during the month of November. Stuffed animals, fuzzies, and Rubiks Cubes were also sold throughout the year. During Spirit Week, the International Club sponsored the hot-chili-eat and the root-beer-chug.” The Gahr bage egg toss was held to boost the spirits of the students before the CHS soccer team played Gahr. They went all out during the Sadie Hawkins Dance by sponsoring the Jail Booth and the Bounty Hunt, where students threw darts at their favorite teachers. The International Club also found the time to go golfing, roller skating, and to various French and Mexican restaurants. The club was one of the most popular clubs on campus because of the great effort put forth by President Byron Ely. and Advisor Ms. Carol Stein. Their creative ideas helped the club to break through with their participation in school activities and win the Club of the Year trophy awarded by the ASB Cabinet. 1.
