Where's my picture? nee again the students and alumni of CHS excitedly began lining up early to get their first look at the annual. Of course, the event was the traditional Annual Signing Party. which was put on by the ASB Cabinet again this year. It may seem odd to other schools that we received our annuals in September, but because of this, our yearbook included activities such as Graduation and the Prom. The party was held on Tuesday. September 29, from 5:30-8:30 on the CHS campus. As the music of the disc-jockey Fly By Night” played on. old friends gathered together in the quad to talk over better times and to gather autographs from acquaintances. Also, during this time, annuals were sold to those who had missed out on buying one during the year, thus creating a sell out of all 1,100 yearbooks for the third year in a row! It was a time to recapture the past year through our tenth anniversary annual and if only for a few hours, it proved to be a memorable evening for all of those who were in attendance. 12 Activities Annual Signing Party

“Give me 9 9 nee again, the sounds of cheerleaders cheering and students screaming filled the air as students gathered to show their spirit at the pep rallies. Because of reconstruction that was going on in our gym to improve the seating, many of our pep rallies were held out in the quad. Even though students had to put up with being crowded and not being able to hear too well at times, the spirit that is always present at pep rallies showed through with students taking part in the many cheers, and showing their spirit through class competition. As in years before, the class of '82 broke through to dominate, winning most of the class competition at the rallies. During some of the rallies, students were entertained with athletic performances by our varsity teams. During one rally, students enjoyed seeing a wrestling demonstration, and at another, the varsity basketball team came out and demonstrated their many talents when they shot some baskets for the students. The spirit at the rallies was kept alive by performances and cheers by the cheerleaders, and this spirit really showed through when at the end of each rally, the students stood up and showed their pride toward C.H.S. as the band performed the alma mater.
