Juniors prepare for prom n the past three years the Class of ‘83 put forth a tremendous effort in preparing for the 198182 Junior-Senior Prom. The junior class officers, along with their advisor Mrs. Skaggs, worked very hard planning fund raisers for the prom which helped to lessen the bill. The biggest sale of the year was the Almond Roca sale in which the juniors made over $500. Since this year's prom was the first dinner prom for Cerritos it cost the juniors more to put on and it was difficult for them to know exactly what to expect. The prom was held in the elegant Grand Ballroom at the Anaheim Mariott Hotel with the band “Organized Crime playing and the theme being Through the Years. When asked about preparing for the occasion. Teri Johnson. Junior Class President replied, We worked very hard together and it went smoothly because we got things accomplished early in the year. Besides preparing for the prom, the class of '83 kept actively involved by participating in the annual Almost Anything Went competition of classes in which they placed second in both their freshmen and sophomore year.
