Advisors play an important role in every student's year at Cerritos High School. They are there to help provide information and all the guidance that would be needed to establish a good high school education. 1. Mr. Stan Steddom. principal. 2. Addressing the class of S ; at freshman orientation. 3. Always glad to try to help students with 1 their problems. f • 204 Mr. Steddom was born in Burbank. California where he grew up and went to school. After he finished high school he joined the U.S. Navy, going to technical school for his first year and serving his last year on a ship. After he finished his duty in the navy, he went on to the University of California at Berkley. There he got his degree, majoring in history and minoring in German. He has since spent his entire career working with students and education. Mr. Steddom taught history and English during the first 13 years of his career, when he also occassionally coached tennis and was Assistant Principal at El Rancho High. From there he went on to be the principal of Artesia High for another 13 years and is presently as we all know, the principal of Cerritos High. Mr. Steddom has 3 grown children between the ages of 19 and 21 and now lives with his wife in La Habra Heights. His hobby is repairing antique clocks and his future ambition is to remain content with his position as principal of CHS. 3
