BAND The 1980-81 Band had their busiest and most successful year ever! The band had pride and showed it by winning more trophies and competitions than any other year. They took 1st place at the La Palma parade, 3rd place at the Artesia parade, 1st place at the West Covina halftime, 2nd place at the Savannah halftime, 2nd place at the Los Altos halftime, and a Sweepstakes Award was presented to them for superior ratings at a halftime competition in Cal Poly. Of their many activities, the band took part in a music festival held at Knott’s Berry Farm and gave three holiday season concerts. It was surely an exciting year for our band. 1.
