VARSITY TAKES WHITE RIBBON Our Varsity Track and Fielders had an excellent year. The start of the season shined by winning the Santa Anna Invitational Relays. For the past three years against our adversary Gahr, the winning score depended upon the last event taking place. In this case it was a depressing loss by three points. This dropped us to third place, but it was an outstanding and competitive track meet. The league score was 5-2. At the end of the season there were records broken these included: Dale Bausch — 8:80 (1 minute 57 seconds), James Shelton — high jump (6'5 ). and Pat Taylor — pole vault (13'3 )- The Most Outstanding Award and Athlete of the Year went to Dale Bausch. Robert Diaz was a league champ in the mile. Some of the many assets were Sidney Johnson. Billy Gonzales, Brannon Jones, Bob Milton, Rick Pinariza and Greg Rhea.
