PROPHECY May 29, 1967 Dear Diary, As I sit here tonight, ten years after my graduation from Ceres High School I am thinking of my former classmates. Doris Hancock and Vilma Shupe, my former companions are now many miles away. Doris Hancock has given up her career in nursing to work at the Bland Hosiery Mill while Vilma is a private nurse for a dentist in Illinois. 1, Shirley Hubble, am very busy as a private secretary in Ohio. Gertrude Hanshew, Noel Atwell, Charles Anderson and Paul Catron have teamed up in their own musical television program on the NBC network, produced and directed by Wiley Cox. Anna Laura Atwell, Phyllis Umberger and Shelby Compton have received their de- gree from Radford College and are now teaching at their Alma Mater, Ceres High School, Tommi Bruce is now in Tennessee with her handsome hubby and all the little Col- liers. Andrew Cassell is the manager of the new MACY'S department store in Wytheville. Emory Lambert is now a Captain in the Air Force. Billy Dillman is the handsome General at Fort Belvoir and the lucky guy even has two secretaries, who by the way, are Beth and Linda Neel. Bruce Repass is now operating a productive farm near Ceres. Phyllis Patrick is now living in Georgia, or is that Germany? Shirlee Tibbs is the wife of a handsome Air Force Lieutenant in Kansas. Yes, dear diary, we, the senior class of 1957, have traveled far in the last ten years.
