Class Prophecy I am just sitting here looking at the flames in the fireplace and wondering what my classmates are doing. Here it is 1960, and I imagine they are all establismed by now. Come on! Let's take a trip with the flames and see what they are doine. First, let's po to New York. Oh, here is a nice little restau- rant. I beleive I'll go in. Well, well, look who's here! A pretty secretary takine dictation during her lunch hour. Gesh! I hardly recognize her. It is Josephine Thompson. I wouldn't mind taking notes at lunch either if I had a good-looking boss like hers, Well, here I am, back in the street, Goodness, who is it that gang of girls is running after? Oh, I recognize him. It is Donald Ingram. He is the world's top disc-jockey. I see he still has that irresistible charm. Those girls are literally swoonine. watch your step, Donnie boy! Great heavens, now what! There is a pack of wolves soing down the street. It's not any wonder. It is Manlyn Monroe, the second. That is Dare Neel, one of the top models in New York. I guess I'll start home. I'11l go down to the railroad station and buy a ticket. Can you imagine! It is Jim Smith! He surely has done wonders. He is station-master here in New York. Good luck, Jim. I am now as far south as Roanoke, Virginia. I beleive I'll buy a car wnile I'm here. They say that Dillman, a Buick dealer, us- ually has some good buys. I beleive I'll drop in to see him. There used to be a Dillman in my class. Hmmm - I wonder -- -? Of all things! It is Harry Dillman in person. Good luck, Harry. While I'm here, I may as well go to see a basketball came. Great day! Watch those ciels play. I wonder who is coaching them. How about that! It is none other than Gladys Umbarger. Keep up the good work, Gladys. Here I am almost at Ceres. Say, wonder who that euy in the Air Force uniform is? He is sittine on Robert Patrick's porch, That mist be Nicholas Tibbs. I guess he and Phyllis are visiting their relatives, Ther§ stands the dear old school house. Who could that teacher be that is coming down the steps. It couldn't be Nancy Cregger, but it is. Her last name isn't Cregger anymore. There is another teacher. By George! It is the principal of Ceres High School, Betty Crabtree. Well, you gals, take good care of the children, As I drive down the road, I see a little cottaze. There are two little children playing in the yard. Oh, dear, here comes their momma. I can't beleive it! It's the former Ruth Lambert, Now, lets see. There were eleven in the class of '54 but I haven't seen but ten of them. There was one more, Her name was Sue Lindamood, What am I thinking about? She is the one who took this trip.
