“lt Rien ¥ y S LE Yl, th py $F Sy Ss i 4 4 HISTORY In the tall of 1945, sixteen members entered the freshman olass of Ceres High School, litte anticipating the work and joys in store for us. Miss MoNeil brought us under control and maneuvers against such realistic enemies as Math, English, History and Home Bo. were success- fully begun. This year was spent in becoming familiar with high sohool tactios. 4fter a three months vacation our group of, now, Sophomores rep- orted back to Ceres High School more self confident than before. at once we began to resume our duties under the leadership ot Miss MoNeil. This year we were very successful and took an active part in organisa- tions such as S.C.d, FeHeA- and various olubs. In 1945 our class composed of eight members, under the supervision of JeM. Thomas, began work more earnestly than ever before. Our group began to display it's talents. In athletics the Juniors contributed such players as Neil, Davis, and Atkins. Dramatic ability was also shown in the Junior olass by the presentation of one act plays. 4s The final year rolled around, the seniors of 1947 worked hard to make Ceres High outstanding in every field. This year the senior group took active part in the S.C.A. with Catron, a Senior member, el- ected to command the group. The Seniors displayed talents in softball, basketball, composition writing and various club work. A play, Too Sweet For Sixteen was presented by the senior class and directed by Miss Crabtree, the spon- sor and Mr. Thomas. All members of the senior class took part in it. The Seniors treated the Junior class to an outdoor Picnic and then took them to a movie. To the school we left an electric clock and we Hope that each time the future classes hear it strike they will be re- minded of the class of '47. How the Senior class wishes to express our appreciation to the taculty for helping us to accomplish our high school goals. How we shall say Vale to our friends at Ceres High School but we will take with us many pleasant and happy memories of our accomplish- ments and good times.
