SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Has not the senior class of '41 made achieve ments that should go down on pages as the hist- ory of our past four years at Ceres High School? Of course, all our achievements cannot be enumer— ated here.We have spent four happy years of work and play, but we also have had our hardships and sorrows. Now, here is a brief sketch of our ad- vance from Freshmen, In the fall of 1937 we entered Ceres High School as Freshmen, starting a career entirely new to us. As Freshmen we were-Leon Atwell,Ralph Austin, Juanita Burke,Maxie Cox,Claude Dye, Billy Harner, Hope Harner, Ralph Hayton,Warren Hubble, Gladys Kidd, Janie McFarlane, Martha Neel, Wayne Neel, Lois Umbarger, Nancy Umbarger, and Nathan Winesett. We soon found ourselves starting a new year as Sophomores. We were proud of the title,Sopho- mores, but we regretted the loss of Claude Dye, Ralph Hayton, and Janie McFarlane. We welcomed eight new members to our class- Watson Bruce, Filmore Cassell, Herbert and Donald Cooper, Fred Foglesong, Florine Harner, Carrington Neel, and Herman Neel. The hardships of our sophomore year were soon accomplished and we were Juniors, regretting the loss of the following- Ralph Austin, Juanita Burke, Filmore Cassell, Maxie Cox, Billy Harner, Warren Hubble, Carrington and Wayne Neel, and Herman Neel. As Juniors we welcomed thirteen new members- Evelyn Cassell, Charles Compton, Harvey ‘Durham, Josephine GGroseclose, Bernice Harner, Catherine Harner, Harry Kemberlin, Harry King,Selma Kitts, Reba Lambert, Vida Neel,Wanda Scott, and Irmalene Young. During the first part of this junior year we suffered the dropping out of Charles Compton, Catherine Harner, Florine Harner, and Reba Lambert. We were journeying along our way enjoy- et ee ee ae ee ee ee ee ee” ee Dyk he aa Fy ee eS a ee ] a | (ANY 7-4 ‘ (74 I z te, Dis SS | AS IS 9 STE Ng oe » A ed bd n —s AS ASS ms AB BS JN x
